PR Manager – Contract Position
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Relations Manager to join Eventus Experiencial. We are looking for someone who has experience in the outdoor and active lifestyle industry. As the Public Relations Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing our client’s brand image and reputation through effective communication strategies. Your primary responsibilities will include building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, influencers, and industry stakeholders, as well as overseeing client management and fostering a positive brand presence in the marketplace. The ideal candidate will bring a strong network of contacts within the industry, along with exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Media and Influencer Relations:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and influencers in the outdoor and active lifestyle space.
- Proactively pitch story ideas, press releases, and brand initiatives to secure media coverage and maximize brand exposure.
- Coordinate and manage media interviews, press conferences, and media events to ensure successful media relations.
- Client Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in the outdoor and active lifestyle industry.
- Develop and implement tailored public relations strategies and campaigns to meet clients’ goals and objectives.
- Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for media partnerships, collaborations, and sponsorships.
- Brand Image and Reputation Management:
- Develop and execute strategic public relations plans to enhance the brand’s image and reputation.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage, industry trends, and competitor activities to identify potential risks or opportunities.
- Mitigate negative publicity or crisis situations by developing and implementing effective communication strategies.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistent messaging and brand representation across all communication channels.
- Content Creation and Distribution:
- Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling content, including press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media content.
- Identify and leverage relevant storytelling opportunities to increase brand visibility and engagement.
- Oversee the distribution of press materials and other brand communications to media contacts and influencers.
- Event Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute successful PR events, including product launches, press tours, trade shows, and brand activations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event execution and maximum media attendance.
- Manage event budgets, contracts with vendors, and post-event reporting and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) working in public relations, preferably in the outdoor and active lifestyle industry.
- Strong network of media contacts, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies and campaigns.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
- Experience in crisis management and strategic communications.
- Proficiency in media monitoring and PR analytics tools.
- A passion for outdoor activities and an understanding of the outdoor and active lifestyle market.
